I have seen various audio experiences in virtual reality which were consisted of playing on some object. I think I can do something that is not a world, but an abstract structure that does not have to be that permanent, but on the other hand it is possible to maintain perceptual commitment.

I am sceptical about the virtual reality space, because for me it is still an imperfect substitute for reality. The ‘real’ reality is something so unfathomable, so incomprehensible that entering simulation is a ‘next level’ activity for me. I have not yet grasped the reality in which I am functioning, let alone the virtual one.

Discovering hidden structures
I wanted to free myself from the need of using electronics, computers and cables. In that way, in the spirit of my aesthetic language, I would like to ‘recreate’ the instrument – cello. It would be its contemporary variation performed in cooperation with musicians. I do not want it to be a visual fetish that comes into being out of touch with functional needs. It must be a working object, which becomes a beginning of a new thread in classical instruments aesthetics.

It turned out that the key moment of my new media activities was actually working with gaming engines. I wish I had learned how to work with it earlier.  In my opinion, an engine is like a tool, which generates new possibilities to express and to create. So for 4 years I have only concentrated on exploring and experimenting with virtual reality and any aspect of it.
